As Director of Visualization Design at the Mintz Group, I create interactive visualizations using D3 to show relationship networks, untangling transaction flows, and mapping these changes over time for cases concerning financial fraud, kleptocracy, and other acts of misconduct. More about my work

I am currently experimenting with Frontier and Local LLMs to see how they can be reliably used for OSINT investigations, coding, and data visualization.

In the academic realm, I am continuing research with Heather Chaplin, started back in 2014 at the Journalism + Design Program at The New School, centered around wicked problems and designing a system map of the forces surrounding the free press, democracy, and media policy.

I currently run the Mastodon instance, Saturation.social.

I live in Brooklyn, NY with my partner , our two sons, and a cat.
